Menu for Dec. 16, Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings to you all!
This is our last menu before the holidays. We will be at the market this Saturday and again on Tuesday the 23rd.
Then we are hanging up our aprons for a couple of weeks while you are feasting on Turkey and chocolate. We figure by Jan 6th you will be ready to "Eat Well" again so keep an eye out for our menu.
We are still taking orders for
"Sticky Date Pudding".
You have the choice of the 8x8 for $28 or 9X11 for $45. 8 oz of extra sauce is $5
Let me know if you want it for Saturday the 20th or Tuesday the 23rd.

We wanted to make you some seasonal or favorite treats this week. Check them out below.

How about SWEET POTATO, CRANBERRY & GRAINS SALAD for seasonal? We sauteed the sweet potatoes with some onions and garlic and added it to a mix of Thai Red Rice & quinoa with the cranberries, peppers, fresh dill and a dressing of lemon juice and maple syrup. This salad is gluten-free.

Our TOFU NUT LOAF is a mix of tofu, wild and brown rice, almonds, sunflower seeds and lots of vegetables & seasonings. This comes with our delicious MUSHROOM GRAVY.

It has been much too long since we have offered MAKENA'S BLACK BEAN & SPINACH. I can't think about this meal without drooling.
We cook the beans with spinach, onions and awesome seasonings and we serve it on BROWN BASMATI RICE.


Do you remember the CHEESY VEGETABLE PIE. This is broccoli, cauliflower & red peppers & mushrooms baked in a batter with some Cheddar. cream cheese and herbs. The green of the broccoli and red of the peppers make it look Christmasy.

MEDITERRANEAN PENNE is pasta tossed with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes with a bit of our tomato sauce and it's garnished with some toasted pine nuts or if you prefer, you can have this with GRILLED CHICKEN.

Still trying to come up with Christmasy (I don't think that is a word) dishes this week, I thought the following combination would be interesting...
WILD RICE, CRANBERRY & MUSHROOM STUFFED CHICKEN. This comes with MASHED POTATOES.

The CHICKEN ATHENA is a favorite that hasn't made it to the menu in far too long. This is Chicken cooked with fennel, tomatoes, black olives and Feta Cheese. It is served with either BROWN RICE or ROASTED POTATOES.

The SPINACH & SUN-DRIED STUFFED TOMATO STEAK is marinated sirloin tip steak stuffed with a mix of spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, herbs and Parmesan cheese. It is served with MASHED POTATOES or RICE.
